bug in cage tutorial 'Earthworms'

Post by masschel » Wed Mar 28, 2018 9:08 pm

Hi all,

I guess there is a bug in the Earthworms Cage tutorial. Changing the melodic profile only adds new points to the function in the "evaluation and substitution" subpatch, not representing the new function drawn.

This can easily be fixed by adding a bang in the top trigger, and have that bang trigger a clear message to the same input of the patcher.

Unless this is intended behaviour, of course ;-).

Cheers,

Bart

Hi Batr,
thanks for the report: it will be fixed for the next release.
To be honest, the whole earthworm/lumbricus thing has become a bit obsolete since the advent of the "hungry" mode of bach.constraints, which basically does the same thing in a much cleaner and efficient way...
Cheers,

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for the tip on the bach.constraints! I'm trying to get my head around the chorale example in the help file... difficult to get your head around it at first, but it seems it will do what I have in mind.

Cheers,

Bart
