cage.profile.snap with interpolating scale

Post by robinmeier » Wed Feb 18, 2015 11:53 am

hello,

i am a noob, but please bear with me.

so far, i am just generating pitch profiles with cage.profile.snap using custom scales with cage.scale. now i would like to change the scale used by cage.profile.snap over time using cage.chordinterp. for example: start with "a minor" scale at bar 1 and end in "E major" scale at bar 25. ideally, i could even define a function describing how we go from a to E (or add more chords/scales to interpolate from).

thank you for pointing me to relevant examples or threads on this forum to get me started.

best,
r

Hi, Robin, I don't think there are examples of what you want on this forum (as you can see, cage is pretty new, and there aren't many threads about it).
Everything you say seems fine for me, can you tell me where you are having troubles?
(You can also have a look at bach.interp, if you need a generic interpolator)
