SPEAR sdif to bach.roll

Post by purpureus » Sat Jan 03, 2015 2:51 pm

Hi there!

I tried to import a sdif-file with the patch in the helpfile of cage.sdif.ptrack.toroll - but didn't work...

are there special preparations needed? or is only audiosculpt the right software for creating sdif-files?

thanks for your help!

Hi,

Hmmm, in principle it should work for any well written sdif files.
Would you mind to send me the sdif file you have, so that I can look into it?
Send it at my personal address: danieleghisi at gmail dot com

Thanks,
D

Hello! I've been having the same issue. I export sdif files from Spear and cage.sdif.peaks doesn't output anything. bach.readsdif outputs a bach.ill but it seems cage doesn't get it. I've also tried exporting different formats of sdif and even used Partials software, but nothing changed. By printing the output of bach.readsdif I can see that files from the examples (like the "africa chord seq") are slightly different than mine. Does anyone know can I fix this? Thank you very much!

Hello, I have used Spear export in the past and it worked on my machine. Can you provide some short SDIF example to see what's wrong in your specific case?
