Different ascending from descending scales

Hi!
I am using cage.scale to build an 8-note scale that is different when ascending from when descending. In the beginning, I 'd like to add a measure with the base note (as a "tuning" reference of the scale), which is done using addchord. However, I'm stuck when trying to add one more measure, with only the base note, before the descend of the scale.
Any ideas?
