breath mark

Post by Julien_Vincenot » Tue Sep 17, 2019 3:06 am

Hello !

Long time ago I found in the tutorials — # custom articulations — a way to add a breathmark (comma or respiro) to a note.
But I just realized it was actually attached necessarily to the beginning of the next note...

Is there another way to do this, that would allow to attach it to the end of the duration line of the previous note instead? I know we can define extension symbols (like the trill), but I don't think it is possible to define an invisible extension then a closing symbol am I right?

Thanks in advance !
Best,

Julien

No, currently that is not possible. Your best bet is to attach it to the next note.

What you would like to have is a sort of extension end, is this correct?

Hey Daniele,
Thanks, that's what I was afraid of.

And yes, just like you can have a start symbol (like tr) an extension line (~~~ or potentially an invisible one?), a finishing symbol would do the trick right?

Potentially that could even help making fake transition lines no...? 😂
