how to add note by note with messages into bach.score

Post by Tj Shredder » Thu Jun 06, 2019 3:08 pm

This is a seemingly stupid question, but I could not find a simple command like the addchord for bach.roll. Rereading the tutorials and searching the docs did not get me any further. All the examples dump a lot of information at once into bach.score. I want to do it one by one. I mean just clicking by hand into the score does it as well...

Either you keep track of all parameters and you insert all the increasing sequence of notes (this may be simpler if you only need to insert things from the start, and you can use [bach.collect @autoclear 0] together with [bach.beatbox]), or (simpler in many other cases) you can use the #overtype message (check it out in the help center).

Thanks for the hints. I might as well stick with bach.roll and then quantize it into a bach.score (though there isn't much to "quantize"...)
