has this font issue been resolved? I use Openmusic and like what i see so far in Bach, but the font for noteheads is showing as letters. I am usung Max 8.1.2. any quick and dirty solution i can try?

Yes, the issue should be solved.
Have you installed the latest version (0.8.1) from the package manager?

I just downloaded bach and I just experienced the same issue as @loubunk : I had this font problem at the first starting of max. I then restarted it and now everything works fine. There might some bug still running up...

Just to be clear: did the bug only happen ONCE, and then as you restarted Max everything worked properly? And then if you quit and restart Max again, everything still works fine?

If so, I guess that may be a Cycling'74 issue with font loading that requires re-starting Max. Let us know whether that is the case, so that we can inform the guys at Cycling
...otherwise, it may be our fault...

I'm experiencing font problems too.

I'm new to bach but not to MAX, and absolutely fascinated on what possibilities bach is going to open for me!

MAX Version: 8.1.8
bach Version: 0.8.1
Windows 7 professional

In the attached image can be seen how the bach.roll and bach.score object look like..

Mysteries of font loading in Max!
In principle you should reboot Max to have it work.
Hope everything goes smoothly now!

The new bach/cage/dada version is out on the package manager (see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1118). It should solve this issue, except perhaps that you'll need to restart Max the very first time.
