Mute voice with message?

Post by Dtronlujan » Sun Apr 14, 2019 1:32 am

Hello. I'm really hoping someone can help me out with this. Basically, I just need to send a message to a bach.score to mute a specific voice. I know that if you select a voice's clef you can send "mute" and "unmute" to the bach.score to do just those things to the voice. I need something like "mutevoice 2". Is there anything like that? I've been trying different combinations of words. Thanks for any help.

Hello,

we have added a "sel voice <voicenum>" message for next release, so that you'll do this by (for instance) "sel voice 2, mute".
For the time being, the closest thing you can do by message is "sel note if voice == 2, mute", i.e. muting NOTES and not VOICES.
I hope that'll be enough for now, you'll get the "sel voice" in next release.

Hi Daniele,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I just saw this right now. But I ended creating a way to do what I wanted. Can't wait for that release tho! I'm loving bach! Thanks!

Daniel
