the output is a lllllll so the floatnum complains.

One should indeed add @out t or @out m.
Fixed.

It is, for just a special purpose: keeping the incoming data type for p-1 or p-inf norms (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norm_(mathematics)#p-norm); in those cases, one might indeed want to keep the norm integer/rational whenever it was supposed to be. One should hence set @floatoutput 0, just for this specific case. Otherwise, one can certainly ignore the attribute.

All the help file lacked the @out t, though, so good catch.
