I love that it's more and more possible to use names/labels as tags in bach. I think it should be as easy to remove names as it is to add them by nameappend message. Something like nameremove $1? What do you think?
I also ran into the problem of (accidentally) having many many (many) duplicate names for a single item. I patched out a "thin names" solution but i also thought - is it useful to allow identical names for a single items?
I can come up with ideas (like stepping through certain chords, listening to them and naming them "like" with a single click if i like the current chord, then going through 2-3 more times, then at the end checking how many "like" labels each chord has and sorting them by this popularity value...) but I don't know. This example could be done more straightforward with slots and changeslotvalue. At the same time - many identical names does not cause much trouble - unless u want to read them in the inspector
