Chord joining message?

Post by Julien_Vincenot » Mon Oct 30, 2023 10:48 pm

Hi,

I'm sorry in advance that's probably a stupid one but I cannot find the answer in the Help center.
Is there a message that does the same action as the short shown in that screenshot, cmd+shift+Y, joining any number of notes of bach.score, and potentially removing ties?

I have a score generated with a lot of bars for structure but eventually I flatten completely, in a single huge bar, and use in a semi-spatial (almost bach.roll) kind of way. But for some reason I still have very easy ties (ex: 1/8+1/8 that originally happened across barline). I cannot get rid of them in the rebarred version, even with high syncopationasymratio and syncopationposdurratio.

Now the cmd+shift+Y does the job, but there's a lot of them… :)
Thanks in advance
Julien

I think what you're looking for is 'autorythm'
It will remove ties and simplify your notation to 'merged' rythmes.

Also consider 'tie 1' and 'tie 0'
