Generative melodic phrases

Hey folks, I am a long time Max user but new to bach/cage/dada.

I want to explore the idea of generative melodic phrases. So basically something that would generate a random melodic envelope which I could then map on to a key. Ideally this melodic envelope would have some awareness of intervals to create nice sounding "shapes". It would also be cool to build harmonic structures with overlapping phrases.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could create this with bach/cage/dada?

Hello, i just used the cage.notewalk and the
cage.notewalkrandom. they seem good starting points for you to me. Did you find those 2 allready, and did you find them usefull for your purpose.
