can I use dada.catart with any database?

Hello My formated table has the instantiation message at loadtime: addtable segments (start f) (duration f) (energy f) (pitch f) (centroid f) (spread f) I can fill the dada.base object fine, but I don't seem to be able to connect it to the dada.catart object. I tried to analyse the help patch but I ...

Re: cage tutorial misrepresentations ;-)

Hello Daniele I'll add more typos here for the tutorials, in order not to clutter the forum. Tut 6, in Advance Applicaitons, I found 2 errors: - the sentence 'we want to find a rhythmic rhythmic upon..." I reckon you mean a rhythmic subdivision? - "we iterate the chords one by one with bach.mapelem"...

cage tutorial misrepresentations ;-)

Hello

I don't know if such simple 'bug reports' are welcome here, but as I read Cage's tutorial 2, it keeps referring to a green button (which is grey) and asks to read the max window yet there is no bach.print in the patch.

Re: Is the crescendo implementation in the pipeline

I actually thought I had a clever work around - making articulations that will transfer in xml to Sibelius, and ask the latter to replace articulations... that does not seem to work... at least it will give me a pointer as to which direction I need to manually do them...

Any pointers welcome

Re: Is the crescendo implementation in the pipeline

ok

I know this is asking much, but did you consider a public priority list, and a public bug list?

I'm just curious ;-)

Is the crescendo implementation in the pipeline

or is it just on the back burner?

Just asking - I have hundreds of them to put so I was hoping to use my new friend ;)

Re: Thinning black MIDI files intelligently

interestingly, when I 'merge' notes it keeps the first velocity. Is there further arguments to this function call to keep highest/lowest or average?

if not, no problem I'll fight my way through iteration ;-)

Thinning black MIDI files intelligently

Dear all I'm trying to find clever ways to thin a black MIDI file, namely the output of sigmund~ on complex sounds. I'd like to make clever use of windowing of analysis, like a progressive window of 50 ms in which if a note is present it kills the duplicates and extend the first instance. Before I g...
