Re: Import glissandi fom orchids to bach
Hi, and welcome aboard! Afaik, Orchids has no glissandi in the score representation. For Orchids, glissandi are just one type of playing styles. The orchids scores are completely exportable to bach (they are "already bach", indeed), but if no glissando appears in orchids, no glissando will be export...

Re: microtones: only quarter tones?
Hi, bach also supports graphical representation of eighth-tones. Simply put @tonedivision 8. Also, any tone division is supported, provided that you don't need standard accidentals, and you choose any of the other representations (cents, fractions...). Of course, you're welcome to share your project...

Re: bach 0.7.3 beta with Cage?
Dear Sinfonico, you can use even the latest bach version with Max 5, but some modules won't work. For instance, the bach.dict2llll abstraction won't work (there was no "public" dictionary support before Max 6), hence you'll experience troubles in the bach and cage overviews (which heavily rely on a ...

Re: From Orchids to Bach — Score Export and Editing...
Yes, but why don't you map the sfz on the first slot? Whenever the second slot has a sfz, you put it in the first slot, overriding the dynamics of the first slot. And you keep a single dynamicsslot (probably you can't assign a slot both to dynamics AND textual expression, although I'd have to check ...

Re: From Orchids to Bach — Score Export and Editing...
Antonio, I wasn't making a question of music theory, but of bach representation. Trills and harmonics are articulations in bach, that's all. Articulations are supported (although the paradigm might change in the future). Hence: - Why don't you convert trills and harmonics into articulations exactly ...

Re: From Orchids to Bach — Score Export and Editing...
Trills and harmonics are articulations, so they should be properly exported.
For sforzandi I guess you can use the dynamicslot with "sfz" and that should do the trick? Not sure, as I said Andrea is the XML guy, but give it a try.
There's no way to have crescendi/decrescendi.

Re: From Orchids to Bach — Score Export and Editing...
Replying point by point 1. It takes twice the cpu and the effort to parse and represent the score, but of course if you don't mind it, it's not a big deal! 2. Ok :) 3. Ok, the playingstyle is lost since you have mapped it into articulations... If you want to keep it nothing prevents you from collect...

Re: From Orchids to Bach — Score Export and Editing...
Antonio, I opened your example. It cannot work for multiple reasons: 1. You're never dumping the content of the upper bach.score, unless you do that by hand by clicking the dump message for the upper score. In any case, you're giving twice the same quantized content to the two scores, there's no nee...

Hi, the patch you attached has empty scores, and in order to debug it I need the scores which are giving you troubles.
