Just to self-document a bit - I manage to select just the last monophonic element entered ( [clearselection, sel note 1 -1 -1] ) and got my incantation right ( [ slotinfo [ 1 [ temporalmode milliseconds ] [ type function] [ range -1200. 1200 ] [ background 1 ] ] ] ) so that works for pitchbend. Customizing the middle C
Now, I don't want to start a faith-based discussion, but I like my middle C to be C4. Bach.roll seems to be of the C5 type. I cannot find to save my life where I can change that behaviour... if we can, let's consider this a feature request, please

indeed this is what I found out.
Can you give me such a troubleshooting list for the dada.distance visualiser? I saw you have a subpatch that computes the distances first... that is where I stalled but I'll give it another shot!

Thanks to Hans's help,I found out i needed to change the contentfield of dada.catart to something that was actually in my database otherwise I got many unhappy max messages
