Re: Changing font for Lyrics

Wow! Thanks, Daniele. I was expecting a much longer wait. A few weeks is a very short wait.

BTW, I've been loving Dada.

Thanks,
Tim

Changing font for Lyrics

Hi, I may be asking for something Bach can't do at the moment, but is it possible to change the font for the lyric slot? I'd like to put roman numeral analysis symbols in and would like to be able to use a special font for it. I haven't been able to find anything on this, but may have missed somethi...

Re: [ANN] cage 0.4 released

I'm just wondering if there is any further word about Cage 0.4 being on the Package Manager? I have only seen 3.9 there. I have installed 0.4 manually, but the PM keeps telling me I have a conflicting version, even though I deleted 0.3.9.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: roll 2 finale

I didn't know about the @sync 1. I use the @minimalunits 1/64, @sync 1 fixed a problem I was having with what looked like "drift." Thanks.

Re: roll 2 finale

I think you're first option is probably best. I've done both, and the saving as MIDI works well, but you potentially lose some aspects of notation you might want to keep, such as note spelling or beaming. This is not to say that MusicXML is perfect, just easier to edit.

Good luck,
Tim

Question about SDIF files

I have a quick question on reading SDIF files. I am using Audiosculpt and Spear to create files, but when I try to read files in Bach created with Audiosculpt, Max hangs or crashes. Most files I use created in Spear read fine, unless they are very long. Is this expected behavior? Or am I doing somet...

Re: Converting Midicents to midinote for use in vst~

Andrea, Thanks for the response. I got it working with the makenote object, using the duration output of the bach.noteunpack object into a dial (can't figure out why I have to go through a dial, but it seems to only recognize it this way) then in to the third input. It works well with monophonic lin...

Re: Converting Midicents to midinote for use in vst~

Daniele, Thanks for the reply. I recall the @out from the tutorials, but forgot all about it when trying to figure this out. I'll probably post on the Cycling forum in a couple days if I can't work out how to create a "send 0 velocity after X milliseconds, where X is the the number of milliseconds o...

Re: Converting Midicents to midinote for use in vst~

Ok, I figured out that problem. I was trying to use a bach object and all I needed was simple max object. Now I just need to figure out how to get the vst~ object to respond to durations. Anyone done this before. I've never gotten vst~ to respond to note lengths send from anything. Sorry about the p...

Converting Midicents to midinote for use in vst~

Daniele, or anyone on the list, I am looking to use vst~, but I cannot seem to convert midicents in to midi note numbers. I tried running a bach./ object to divide the midicents by 100, but I got some odd numbers. I've spent an hour working on this trying to figure it out. When the number comes out ...
